Texas public schools continue to demonstrate commendable progress in student outcomes, with a focus on college, career, and military readiness. All of this despite facing significant challenges, including one of the highest percentages of students on free and reduced lunch, one of the highest percentages of students from single-parent or no-parent homes, and one of the highest percentages of students with limited or no English proficiency.
