At a time when families are navigating more educational options, what they ultimately seek has not changed: safe schools, qualified educators, strong learning, and adults they trust.
Texas public schools are built on those foundations. Certified educators, student supports, public accountability, and community governance are not marketing claims. They are structural commitments.
To help make those strengths visible, we created a Parent Checklist that district and campus leaders can use to proactively communicate what matters most. It highlights the questions families consistently care about, including safety systems, academic opportunities, teacher qualifications, transparency, and support for student well-being.
When families are equipped with the right questions, the value of public education becomes clear.
We encourage you to share, adapt, or incorporate this checklist into enrollment materials, open house events, and family communications as part of a broader commitment to proactive transparency.
This resource is part of our ongoing effort to equip Texas public school leaders with practical tools that build trust through clear communication.
